About Heidi Haagenson

Heidi Haagenson is the Special Projects Coordinator at Ridgewater College in Willmar, Minnesota, serving as technical writer for many academic initiatives. She graduated from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, then St. Cloud State University with a Master's Degree in Rhetoric and Applied Writing. The Tenney Quilt is her first book. Heidi grew up in Minnetonka, Minnesota, where she developed an appreciation for history from her father, an amateur historian, genealogist, and author. Her mother, grandmother, and two generations before them called the Red River Valley railroad town of Tenney their home, providing Heidi with a sense of belonging and kinship to what has become Minnesota's smallest town. She is married, has two adult children, and one perfect granddaughter.
